Islamabad,  March 29 (INP): China’s technological reforms’ inspiring in digital realm, said Sohail Sarwar, who has worked with major Chinese IT and Telecom companies.

China’s digital practices have far-reaching implications, both domestically and internationally. The speed and scale of its digital ecosystem and innovations are reshaping global business practices.

Foreign experts witnessing China’s digital transformation have gained valuable insights to apply in their communities.

Talking to Gwadar Pro in an exclusive interview Sohail Sarwar, digital expert highlighted China’s technological advancement which not only shaped its economy but also inspired other nations to adapt and innovate in the digital realm.

Drawing from 15 years of experience working in and observing China’s digital transformation, Sohail Sarwar, who has worked with major Chinese IT and Telecom companies in the past, confidently asserts that these companies thrive in a dynamic work environment marked by agility, flexibility, and innovation.

He mentioned that foreign employees, including himself, faced the demands of a high-pressure environment, which compelled them to swiftly adapt and think innovatively.

The professional working sphere offered them substantial prospects for both personal and professional growth.

Sarwar provided valuable insights on practices that could be adapted in Pakistan. Firstly, China’s extensive use of digital payment platforms such as Alipay and WeChat Pay has transformed financial transactions.

Pakistani communities and businesses can take a cue from this and embrace digital wallets and payment apps.

Secondly, China’s robust e-commerce ecosystem, dominated by industry giants like Alibaba and JD.com, has significantly influenced retail and consumer behavior.

Pakistani entrepreneurs and businesses have an opportunity to leverage this model to establish and enhance their online presence.

Lastly, the data driver and AI-generated technology can help Pakistan too, as China has been developing a robust big data infrastructure to collect, process, and analyze vast amounts of data from various sources.

Companies like Alibaba, Tencent, and Baidu has built extensive data platforms that cater to both consumers and the enterprise needs.

China has emerged as a key investor in Pakistan’s digital sector, with numerous successful collaborations and partnerships contributing to the country’s digital growth.

The success of joint ventures and collaborations between Pakistani and Chinese companies in the digital sector is expected to lead to the development of cutting-edge technologies, innovative solutions, and the expansion of digital services across Pakistan.
