ISLAMABAD, November 8 (INP-WealthPK): Traders and business leaders in Faisalabad have demanded the final date for the completion of the new master plan of the city.

The demand was put forward by the President of Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI), Dr Khurram Tariq, according to a press release issued forth by the chambers.

Khurram Tariq said that the completion of the plan was being delayed because of many reasons. He said, “initially we were given a proposal for the completion of the master plan in time but afterwards we have not seen any meaningful progress.”

He said after receiving the initial draft we were told that we will be provided with the final draft after making necessary amendments.  He continued, “this promise, however, has not materialized as we have not received the final draft of the master plan. A master plan is important for the business district since it will solve many of the problems of the industrialists in Faisalabad. It is a futuristic master plan meant to ease the difficulties of the traders.”

He requested the divisional commissioner to direct Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) to share the proposed draft immediately so that the stakeholders could give their input to make it a comprehensive document for the future and sustained uplift of Faisalabad.
