ISLAMABAD, Nov 8, (INP-WealthPK): The Ministry of Housing and Works will arrange an international expo to promote the real estate business in the country besides providing safe and secure housing to the people, WealthPK reports.
An official of the ministry told media that the first ever four-day ‘International Housing and Real Estate Expo’ will be held on December 8. He added that the expo will be organised in collaboration with other relevant ministries, agencies, organisations and authorities to encourage the approved housing projects and develop the construction sector in the country.
He said that all real estate developers, housing societies, real estate consultants and construction material-related industries will be facilitated to set up stalls at the expo.
The official said that the main objective of the expo is to create awareness among people about approved real estate in the country. The ministry will also allot stalls to those whose housing projects and companies are approved by the government, taxpayers and companies with No Objection Certificates (NOCs) of the relevant authorities.
Housing and Works Secretary Iftikhar Ali Shallwani told media that the construction sector is the biggest job provider in the country as several other industries are attached to it. He said that it is a fundamental right of everyone to have secure and safe housing. “The ministry intends to organise the event to achieve this purpose,” he added.
Iftikhar Shallwani said different stalls will be set up by the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA), Pakistan Housing Authority Foundation (PHAF) and the country’s major builders, developers and marketing companies at the expo.
The secretary said that he has also invited the ambassadors of different countries to the expo to avail the opportunities being offered by the government in the housing sector.
