ISLAMABAD, Oct 22 (INP-WealthPK): The Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) organised an orientation and awareness session for traders regarding the Trade Information Portal of Pakistan (TIPP), in collaboration with Pakistan Single Window (PSW).
The PSW’s senior officials briefed the participants about the TIPP’s role in simplifying and accelerating the export process. In addition to the main points and procedures available at the TIPP, they provided important information regarding simplifying and easing trade. They highlighted the portal’s main objectives, importance and role in trade facilitation.
The senior officials also highlighted the PSW’s function in facilitating the business community, bringing ease and speed in exports and prompt resolution of issues for a smooth trade. They informed the traders that the PSW will arrange more such informative sessions for trade facilitation.
SCCI Senior Vice President Shahid Hussain commended the PSW for arranging an informative sitting, saying it is essential to bring easiness in trade procedures and speedy export proceeds in order to enhance cross-border trade. He emphasized that an increase in exports is vital for stabilizing and improving the national economy.
Shahid called upon the PSW to take proactive steps for facilitating the traders’ community and resolving their issues on a priority basis for a smooth trade.
