ISLAMABAD, October, 22 (INP-WealthPK): Pakistan will honor the agreements with China at all costs and ensure that the projects of CPEC are completed in time, said Federal Minister for Power Khurram Dastgir while meeting with Chinese Ambassador Nong Rong.

“Pakistan is a forward-looking country. Our future landscape will be dominated by renewable energy sources and a shift to a sustainable growth pattern,” he said.

The minister thanked the Chinese ambassador for China’s continual support to Pakistan in all sectors of the economy. “It was because of the Chinese investments in the energy sector that Pakistan improved its energy situation. Otherwise, Pakistan would still be in dark,” he said.

Dastagir told the ambassador that the Thar coal project is of tremendous importance for Pakistan’s future energy needs. In this regard, Pakistan is grateful to its Chinese friends.

The ambassador reciprocated the message of thanks and appreciated the present government for their commitment towards CPEC. He said that the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif to China would be a great success.
