PSX loses 85 points

ISLAMABAD, Sep 12 (ABC):The 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed bearish trend on Monday, losing 85.87 points, a negative change of 0.20 percent, closing at 41,862.29 against 41,948.16 points on the last working day. A total of 161,425,081 shares were traded during the day compared to 146,631,042 shares the previous day, whereas the price of shares stood at Rs.5.835 billion against Rs.7.131 billion on the last trading day. As many as 323 companies transacted their shares in the stock market,102 of them recorded gain and 203 sustained losses, whereas the share price of 18 companies remained unchanged.

The three top trading companies were HBL Total Treas with 45,073,000 shares at Rs.10.01 per share, TRG Pak Ltd with 15,747,371 shares at Rs.96.16 per share and WorldCall Telecom with 9,944,000 shares at Rs.1.20 per share. Sapphire Tex witnessed a maximum increase of Rs.74.40 per share price, closing at Rs.1,066.40 whereas the runner up was Thal Ind. Corporation with Rs.17.39 rise in per share price to Rs.313. Unilever Foods witnessed maximum decrease of Rs.500 per share closing at Rs.25,000 followed by Bata (Pak) with Rs.64.09 decline to close at Rs790.51.
