ISLAMABAD, June 26(ABC): The Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar on Saturday rejected the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s recent statement regarding the NAB Law and said that Imran Khan’s statement on NAB amendments is based on lies. The former prime minister and his nexus with the NAB are also responsible for pushing the country into an economic crisis.
Nazeer Tarar explained that 80% of the amendments were enacted by Imran Khan through ordinances during his tenure. The government has taken the amendments to Parliament and made them into law.
He further said the amendments were in accordance with Islamic law and constitution.
“Imran Khan has approached the court on this issue, therefore avoid political rhetoric on the matter and leave the decision to the court,” he added.
Criticizing the PTI Chairman he added that Imran Khan had pushed the country into disaster. While the incumbent government has given protection to government employees so that they can serve the country without NAB blackmail.
