LAHORE, June 22 (ABC): The Punjab government will pay electricity bills of household electricity consumers, consuming up to 100 units, it emerged Wednesday.
According to details, the decision will cost Punjab government a billion rupees and will be applicable from July 1.
The provincial government has sent its proposal to the federal government in this regard. According to the proposal, relief will be given to those consumers who used less than 100 units in April.
Estimated such consumers are reportedly 7.6 million. The Punjab government will pay this amount to LESCO in terms of subsidy.
