LAHORE, June 08(ABC): Punjab government on Tuesday prepared first draft of development budget in which it was proposed to allocate Rs640 billion in the development budget.
According to the details, it has been recommended to allocate up to 35% of the budget for South Punjab and it was also proposed to start 13 mega development projects in Punjab while development schemes of 500 million will be given to each provincial lawmaker of PML-N.
It is pertinent to mention that the first draft was prepared and presented by the Department of Development and Planning taking into consideration of Punjab CM order.
The draft also proposed Rs28 billion for ongoing projects under foreign loans, Rs 114 billion for ongoing and new projects of district development program while a total fund of Rs237 billion for completion of mega projects and Rs 20 billion for priority projects, adding that Rs15 billion under allocation fund and private partnership was also proposed.
