KARACHI, May 19, (ABC): Sindh Police have claimed that a banned organization was involved in the blast in Karachi’s Saddar area on May 12.

This was revealed by Sindh Police’s Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) DIG Syed Khurram Ali in the press conference Thursday.

Ali said a terrorist Allah Dino, who was the mastermind of the attack, was killed Wednesday in an intelligence-based operation.

Dino was an expert at making IEDs and used a remote control device for the attack, added Ali.

He added that Allah Dino was arrested in connection with a previous attack in Sindh, but was granted bail by the courts.

Ali said Allah Dino was in contact with his handler in Iran who gave him instructions.

“An audio call was obtained from his cell phone in which he was talking to his handler Asghar Shah in Sindhi who gave him instructions from Iran.”

Ali claimed Dino received around Rs250000 from different sources.

“Our terror financing team is working [on the money trail] and soon we will get the sources,” he said.
