ISLAMABAD, July 1(ABC): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Umar said on Friday that neither did they accept Hamza Shahbaz as the Chief Minister of Punjab yesterday nor do they accept him today.
Talking to media after Supreme Court verdict on Punjab CM election on Friday, he said that he was happy that the PTI had fought this battle for the betterment of democracy and it was not only ours but also the court s stance that Hamza was not the elected Chief Minister.
The PTI leader said, “We did not believe in Hamza yesterday nor do we believe in him today and we have only accepted Hamza till the by-election, notification of reserved seats.” In Punjab, he said the government machinery is being used and people were being pressured and illegal development works are being carried out, whereas, favourities were being appointed on top positions.
