“There are some fine players in our squad, and we have the capabilities to do well,” he said.

He has scored 6,278 runs in List A matches at an average of 47.20, with 17 hundreds and 36 half-centuries.

Remember, Azhar played for Somerset three years back and led them to title victory in 50-over competition.

He has represented Pakistan in 53 ODIs, piling up 1845 runs at an average of 36.2. He retired from ODIs in 2018.
