NEW DELHI, June 17 (ABC) India’s top all-rounder Hardik Pandya is set to lead India during T20I series against Ireland, the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) said Wednesday.
According to Indian media, India will play two-match T20I series against Ireland, starting June 26th in Malahide.
Hardik Pandya will lead the Indian team, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been named vice-captain.
According to news report, Hardik will lead India for the first time, and this comes after he led Gujarat Titans to the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 title in their debut season. He is currently a part of the team for the ongoing five-match T20I series against South Africa.
