KARACHI, Dec. 5 (INP): Confucius Institute at University of Karachi (CIUK) held a seminar to celebrate 10th-anniversary of China, Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
“I hope that CIUK can train more talents who are familiar with the culture of China and Pakistan and actively participate in the high-quality development of CPEC and the cooperation between the two countries in various fields,” highlighted Yang Yundong, Chinese Consul General in Karachi.
The Consul General affirmed the active Chinese teaching and cultural activities carried out by CIUK, which have made significant contributions to the promotion of Chinese culture and the friendship between China and Pakistan.
On the occasion, Vice Chancellor University of Karachi Prof Dr Khalid Mehmood Iraq lauded the brilliant achievements of the CIUK during the past decade.
“The 2+2 program for Chinese majors is a model of Sino-Pak educational cooperation, which has injected vitality into Sino-Pak cultural and people-to-people exchanges.
The University of Karachi will strongly support the development of the Confucius Institute to start the next important decade,” he said.
More than 100 officials, faculty and students from the University of Karachi, attended the event online and offline.
