ISLAMABAD Nov 15 (INP-WealthPK): Pakistan Carpet Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PCMAEA) Vice Chairman Usman Ashraf has stated that Pakistan must take part in international exhibits like “Domotax” to enhance its exports by effectively promoting its goods.

Talking to the PCMAEA office-bearers before departing for Turkey, he said due to unfavourable circumstances, exporters are unable to cover the high costs associated with attending international shows; therefore, he has asked the government to put the 80/20 formula for financial support into place. He said about his trip to Turkey, he would apprise Pakistani exporters about conditions who were interested in participating in the Domotax exhibition.

He expressed his desire for Pakistan to be as well-represented as possible at the Domotex expo and pleaded with the government to make shipping items to the exhibition as easy as possible, especially in terms of financial support. In order to increase the number of exporters who may represent Pakistan in international exhibits, the government should set aside specific funds for the purpose, he added.
