ISLAMABAD, October 26, (INP-WealthPK): Balochistan government has taken the initiative to improve road infrastructure in the province by giving the approval to the setting up of the Balochistan Traffic Engineering Bureau in Quetta.

While talking to the press, an official of the Balochistan government said that the “provincial government takes the safety of its citizens very seriously. The government is already working to improve the traffic situation in the province and make life easy for the residents.”

“All kinds of steps were being undertaken to help the citizens. Legislation is being drafted to make new rules for traffic, and infrastructure development like building new roads and improving existing ones was also on the cards,” he added.

“Parking spaces have become a necessary part of the plans to develop cities. If there are no essential parking spaces for vehicles, people just park on the roads. This causes a lot of nuisance to drivers. Therefore, we are working strenuously to make sure that there are parking spaces available at critical junctures,” he continued.

He said that the “government has also approved the establishment of Balochistan Mass Transit Authority (BMTA) to provide better transport facilities to the people. Also, a special protection unit for the security of foreign nationals and projects will also be created to provide a safe environment for people working here.”
