ISLAMABAD, Sep 14 (ABC): The 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Wednesday gained 10.48 points, a nominal positive change of 0.02 percent, closing at 42,011.82 against 42,001.34 points on the last working day.
A total of 156,581,804 shares were traded during the day compared to 118,511,503 shares the previous day, whereas the price of shares stood at Rs.6.548 billion against Rs. 3.873 billion on the last trading day. As many as 327 companies transacted their shares in the stock market,128 of them recorded gain and 180 sustained losses, whereas the share price of 19 companies remained unchanged.
The three top trading companies were TRG Pak Ltd with 16,741,568 shares at Rs.102.25 per share, K-Electric Ltd with 14,840,500 shares at Rs.3.16 per share and Hub Power Company with 11,153,190 shares at Rs.66.43 per share. Sanofi-Aventis witnessed a maximum increase of Rs.36.62 per share price, closing at Rs.1,164.99 whereas the runner up was Premium Textile with Rs.34.39 rise in per share price to Rs.824.90. Sapphire Fiber witnessed maximum decrease of Rs.87 per share closing at Rs.1,079 followed by Nestle Pakistan with Rs.60 decline to close at Rs.5,700.
